Parent Governor

Emily Mann, Grew up in Darlington and has raised her 4 children here, including her youngest daughter who is currently in the primary PMLD class at Beaumont Hill. Graduated from the University of Kingston upon Hull with a Social Work and Social Policy BADipSW in 1997 then moved to Canada where she worked at a counselling retreat centre for a decade. Returned to the UK in 2007 where she has subsequently worked for Children’s Services in various roles until she became full time carer for her youngest in 2018. Now she sits on Adoption Tees Valleys’ approval panels, is a consistent face at the Schools Parent Drop in and runs weekly playgroups for able bodied and SEND preschoolers. She is Governor for the new OPAL play initiative and her Link focuses are Pupil Enrichment and Parent Engagement.
