Preparing for Adulthood

Preparation for adulthood and careers are part of our curriculum from Year 7. We have embedded this learning into our PHSE curriculum and into a tutor time. At Beaumont Hill Academy, preparation for adulthood means:

  • Further education and/or employment (this includes exploring different employment opportunities including self-employment
  • Independent living, including supporting our young adults to have choice, control and freedom over their lives, their support, accommodation and living arrangements
  • Active participation in society, including having friends and supportive relationships and contributing to the local community
  • Healthy living
